This white and grey reversible belt is unique. It doesn't use a ratchet mechanism although that is a search term you would want when looking for this style. It has a rubber clamp mechanism built into the belt. As such it's not going to hold as securely as the zipper style ratchet or the clamp onto rippled nylon web. I consider this to be a dressier belt with a more delicate use case. It will hold up your pants but don't hang your EDC from it.
The white/grey belt is semi tightly rolled in the box so the white side wants to be out. The white side is also around the edges so when you use this belt on the grey side you'll see the white outline. I think that's a neat look and really like it. However, the memory effect of being rolled hasn't gone away so when I use the belt on the grey side out the end wants to stick out and say HI to people. I have to keep it aligned with a belt loop to hold it down. I expect that to go away as the box shape memory fades.
There's no strong odors from the pressed leather and the colors don't bleed when sprayed with iso alcohol.
One tip: Put the belt buckle at 90 degrees from the belt clasp in order to open it to adjust the length.
